On the request of the Principal of the school, Emed members from 4th year MBBS from Punjab Medical College Faisalabad, organized a health awareness session for the students & teachers of the school, on their annual sports day on Sunday, 7.12.2012.
The Emed team comprised of Sonia Aslam, Farzana Nazeer, Zaheera Qamar & Noman Tahir (2nd year) who very successfully held interactive sessions on the lethal disease & other health tips.
Nauman Tahir introduced Emed with reference to its objectives & activities in schools & colleges. Sonia Aslam delivered a lecture on polio disease with special focus on its vaccination & prevention.
Farazana Nazeer taught the children the right way of hand washing & invited various students to demonstrate that.
Zaheera Qamar held a question-answer session related to all the previous speakers & distributed prizes in the children.
Principal of the school thanked the young, agile, motivated team & expressed her satisfaction on the response of the students.
