Public Awareness Drives


eMed INCLUDED IN THE "ADVISORY BOARD" OF MODEL CHILDREN HOME, A PROJECT OF SOCIAL WELFARE DEPARTMENT, GOVERNMENT OF PUNJAB.

1st MEETING HELD ON 8.9.2016, UNDER THE CHAIRPERSON-SHIP OF MEMBER PUNJAB ASSEMBLY (MPA) DR MRS NAJMA AFZAL.

 

eMed OFFERED REGULAR MEDICAL CHECK-UP, FREE TREATMENT OF SICK CHILDREN & HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAMS FOR THE ORPHAN CHILDREN.

 

A project of Department of Social Welfare, Government of Punjab, named “Model Children Home”,  is a self sustained & self maintained project, the credit of which goes to its Incharge, Social Welfare Officer, Mrs Lubna Siddique. With the help of philanthropists of the city, she managed to have 35 orphan children in the model home bearing all their expenses including their education.

Now to make the project more active & progressed, the Government of Punjab has approved an advisory board with MPA, Dr Mrs Najma Afzal as its Charperson & NGO, eMed, Director Physical Planning, Technical College, Abdul Aleem, Director Al-Jannat Travels, Hafiz Khalid & Legal Advisor, Mrs Ayesha as the members of the board.

The 1st meeting of the board was held on 8.9.2016, under the Chair-person ship of Mrs Najma Afzal. The Secretary of the Board, Mrs Lubna Siddique presented the history of the project high-lighting her efforts for that.

Further suggestions were invited. General Secretary eMed, Dr Khurram Sohail Raja offered monthly medical check-up of the children, free treatment in case of any sickness & health awareness of the children. Suggestions were appreciated by the board members. It was further decided that board should be expanded with induction of more members.

Mrs Lubna Siddique had arranged new clothes & gifts for the children on the occasion of eid which were distributed & children were too happy to have them.
