SEMINAR ON HYP& HEPATITIS B & C IN UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE FAISALABAD. eMed & HYPERTENSION LEAGUE FAISALABAD JOIN HANDS TO EDUCATE PUBLIC & ACADEMIA. On Tuesday, 17.5.2016, eMed & Hypertension League (Faisalabad Chapter) organized a seminar on hypertension & Hepatitis in the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Dr Iqrar Hussain spared all his time to attend the seminar which was addressed by the President eMed & Hypertension League, Prof Ahmed Bilal. The seminar was organized in the Senate Hall of the University & was heavily attended by the Staff, Teachers & Students of the University. General Secretary eMed, Associate Professor Dr Khurram Raja introduced eMed & highlighted the objectives of the seminar terming hypertension as a ‘silent killer’. Prof Ahmed Bilal’s interactive session was extremely interesting for the audience who had very vital information on high blood pressure, balanced diet, hazards of junk food, and benefits of exercise, step counters, cooking oils, and salt audit. Later he briefed the audience on Hepatitis B & C & how to prevent them. The session was followed by the longest question-answer session in which audience asked very intelligent questions on daily life routines. Prof Iqrar Hussain was a patient listener & then gave an eye-opener speech on various crops, diet ingredients & eating habits. Dr Khurram Raja concluded the session with a promise from the audience that they will spread the messages to their colleagues, friends, families & relatives. Later it was decided that eMed & Hypertension League will screen out all university staff, students & teachers for blood pressure. Prof Iqrar Hussain thanked eMed team & all the doctors including Dr Zaheer Ahmad, Dr Tamim Tahir, Dr Umair, Dr Mahum Mohsin & others.
